Delete your Karua account
In the Karua app or website
- Sign in.
- Customers: open Profile. Contractors: open Account.
- Tap Delete my account, then confirm.
Your account is deleted straight away and you are signed out.
Without the app
Email info@karua.com.au from the email address on your account, with the subject “Delete my Karua account”. We confirm by email and finish within 30 days.
What is deleted
- Your login.
- Saved addresses, notification settings and app notifications.
- Your details on job requests you never booked.
- Any review of yours shown on our website.
What we keep, and for how long
- Booked job, payment and invoice records: 7 years after the job ends, because tax and legal record-keeping rules require it.
- Contractor records: 7 years after you stop working through Karua. Your profile is switched off and you are not offered work.
- Anything needed for an unresolved dispute or claim, until it is resolved.
Before you can delete
A booking or job in progress, a hold on your card, or a payout not yet paid has to finish first. The app tells you which one.
